Tacos Mexico in Apex

Only place we eat Mexican food. Hot salsa and authentic food. The waitress knows what we like already. Too cool.

Good solid Mexican fare at a fair price. This small restaurant is an Apex icon offering all foods Mexican and primarily Mexucan drinks. Things are done here with tradition. Tacos Mexico is probably the most down-to-earth eatery in town. If you like your Mex food steaming hot then this is the place.

Have been here twice. The last time was for takeout during the pandemic. That was not great... Food was not fully cooked. The first visit was dining in the restaurant and we will definitely go back once this pandemic is over. That was as very positive experience. Might even give them another shot at takeout.

This restaurant offers many good choices; you just need to know which ones. I recommend you go with somebody who has gone before and has some recommendations. Personally, I think the enchiladas are really good.

Had the fajitas Apollo and it was very good. Nice authentic Mexican feel and decor. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food.

Warm chips, warm service make for a great local joint. Looks dive-y on the outside, but is themed on the inside. It seems the AC can have issues with the summer heat, but the great food, low prices, and great service make up for it. Long lunch hours so you can get delicious chips and choriqueso down before your siesta.Been 6 times now. Everything tried so far is good.

This is our go to spot when we get a craving for Mexican food. Food is great, service is great, and the staff is very friendly. The chips and salsa at the table are fresh and delicious. We will continue to come back.

Our family are regulars here for a reason.. best mexican restaurant around!! My personal favorite are their chorizo tacos

Food is above average, but not by much. By far the best thing about this place, and the ONLY reason I give it a 4 stars, is its atmosphere. The restaurant is older, but staff and people in there make it feel comfortable and enjoyable. Now for the food itself, it isn't bad, but you don't find the flavor in the food that you find in so many other Mexican places. The chips are hot, the salsa is good, and the chimiganga I had was delicious, but the enchiladas, rice and beans were all mediocre. There are other Mexican places I would rather eat, but it feels good to help support a good business.

Not as good at all during the pandemic.been twice during pandemic.Brought the chips and salsa with the meal.You order and pay as you go in now.So they have your money immediately.Your lucky if you see the waitress or anyone after you get your food. Have to go look for someone for a to go container.They act like they are scared to get around people.Half the ingredients left out of the burrito.Probably should close until the virus is better

The servers were very friendly & attentive.The beef was tasty... Odd; I ordered chicken... which doesn't sound similar in either language...The rice was ok... I think there were 3 gandules on my plate... The beans are American style, which is to say, smothered in melted cheese... They're not bad once you scrape off the cheese layer.Pretty sure the salsa is canned... The hot sauce is the "roasted" flavor variety.

They serve both authentic and American style Mexican food. We ordered some of both. Everything was made correctly and tasted good. We came because of a Groupon deal but will definitely return.

First time visit for lunch. The food was very good. The service was good - present without being too much. Dining room was pleasant (but the seat in the booth needed repair). Prices were reasonable. Good value for the money.

Yeah this place is dope they have great tacos and other entrees at reasonably prices good customer service with a smile and the taste of the food holds up against places I've had in Mexico and Texas. Best I've had back east so far

Back two years ago I went all the time because of how great they were. This year I've gone twice and will not be going backI have been a regular customer for them which clearly means nothing to them1st bad experience was when I bought 25 tacos and was told 30 some dollars total and then that changed to double when I picked it up because THEY forgot to change the special price from the prior day. Instead of honoring the price the owner himself decided to charge me all 60 dollars and said next time I came in he would prorate it lol2nd bad experience was that I bought 5 tacos and was given 3. I'm not going back.

Quick service and good food

Authentic Mexican food in Apex. Wonderful, no nonsense setting. Very reasonable prices for food and very quick service. Parking lot is a little run down and could use some work.

Delicious, authentic, and extremely reasonably priced. And the entire staff is super friendly. We come regularly as a family, and with a group of friends and their kids too. They always treat us well, even if our kids are acting up. They recently started serving breakfast Th-Su and it's just as good as the regular menu. Highly recommend. The shredded beef tacos are incredible.

Do not let the outside deter you. This is a lovely restaurant with charm and delicious food. Try the tamales.

Food just isn't good. Chicken in the enchiladas is white meat that isn't chopped well. Quesadilla looks more like a calzone. The quesadilla cheese is subpar. The rice & beans are good, bad that's about all I can say that is.

We enjoy a good taco and enchilada. Since moving to Apex, we have not claimed a favorite until now. Our meal was great, chips delicious and the tomatillo sauce delicious. I had a cheese enchilada and beef taco. The taco was shredded beef which I enjoyed. I will probably go for a taco plate next visit. Didn’t think to take a picture until I’d finished my meal- oops!

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Prices very affordable. Most portions can be shared. The staff does speak English.For those you don't like spicy foods. They cook the way you like.

Good local Mexican restaurant for families. They make excellent horchata and micheladas.

Unlike other fancy Mexican Restaurants in the area, this one is little different. Decor is basic functional, has limited selection of vegetarian dishes. Was attracted to visit due to mole sauce on their menu but was disappointed as it was no where near to what we get at other place in Philly.
